Quant Your Blessings!

After nearly 20 years of marriage, six children, multiple moves across the country for education and employment (including living in CT, GA, NV, and TX), and one year in Japan, the Lord opened the door for us to move back home to Minnesota. Our lives have been enriched by living in various parts of the country and abroad. We have had many years of adventure, exploration, and learning!
Through it all, God has used our experiences, both the good and the challenging ones, to shape our character and draw us closer to Him. Recalling the ways He has worked in our lives puts everything into perspective. As the old hymn inspires us to do, we are reminded to “Count Our Blessings”:
“Count your blessings, name them one by one;
Count your blessings, see what God hath done;
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.”
Similarly, Psalm 103:2-5 (NKJV) admonishes us to “forget not all His benefits”:
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
3 Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
4 Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
We hope you enjoy reading our blog and are encouraged to “Quant” your blessings, remembering what God has done! We give Him all the glory, honor, and praise!
